Pastor Le'Zaire D. Reese

Pastor Le’Zaire Reese was born on September 13, 1996, to Deacon Marlon and Deaconess Lakreisha Reese in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is the elder brother of one sister, Ms. Sanai Reese. He accepted the Lord and was baptized at the age of five at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. John A. Evans, Sr. On July 19, 2015, he received his license to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ by Dr. Evans. While residing in Atlanta, he was under the watch care leadership of Dr. Gregory L. Pollard, Pastor of the Enon Baptist Church.

Listening to the voice of God, Dr. Pollard found him worthy and ordained him in March 2018. Pastor Reese holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy from Clark Atlanta University. In June of 2022, Pastor Reese was the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate degree in Theology from New York Christian Bible College. Currently, he is enrolled in a Master of Theology Program at Liberty University. 

Pastor Reese served as Senior Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in College Park, GA for 5 years. While there, he mobilized and energized members of the church to reflect God’s love with the church motto of, “A Church with God’s Heart”. 

 Pastor Reese embarked on a new journey as Senior Pastor of New Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga. on March 18, 2023.   New Calvary’s mission is to be “a dynamic fellowship of Believers in Christ, serving people by sharing God’s Love and Message so that lives are changed”. Pastor Reese’s dedication to this mission is evident in his applicable and vibrant delivery of the preached word, his focus on community service, and his genuine love for God’s people. On April 13, 2023, he was inducted into the Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers.  

Pastor Reese believes in putting God first in all things and is a part of various civic and community organizations: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; Academy of Preachers; Preachers for The People; NAACP; Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc.; Florida Gospel Music and Arts Fellowship along with many others.  Pastor Reese is a determined, passionate, and a relentless servant of God! And he lives by his favorite scripture, Psalm 37:4, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
